MEXICAN BEADED LIZARD
Heloderma horridum One of only two types of poisonous lizards with venom glands in the lower jaw.
Its skin consits of tiny beads containing pieces of bone making it almost armor plated.
Average adult size is 76cm to 91cm.
Diet consists of wild small mammals, birds,lizards and eggs. |
